Olivia was inspired by the sub-cultural stereotypes surrounding the Housewife. She reconceptualised the stigma surrounding this to create a female narrative which was based on feminism. Looking at stigmatised fabrics including gingham and check she created her own gingham to represent the 21st Century woman.

 

My message is: to advocate that women are a crucial member of modern society by designing a collection to show this" Olivia says. "To also show partners the female emotions with regards to the "Housewife" role"
